Edwards Early Education Center

Building Renovation

Sunbeam Family Services

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Sunbeam Family Services has completed a $550,000 renovation to Edwards Elementary School in Oklahoma City, providing an early education center for children ages 3 and younger. Twelve classrooms received a new coat of paint and age appropriate millwork was installed. In addition, observation windows were added so classroom activities can be easily monitored by the administration. A mental health suite was developed out of the existing library.  The exterior of the building was power washed and playgrounds were updated and added to each classroom. Due to federal funding requirements, construction was expedited to meet 2020 funding deadline, allowing Sunbeam the opportunity to maximize federal grant money for the project. Construction was completed in December of 2020.
