The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Enhancements to the Cathedral

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish was founded in Oklahoma City in 1919 and the Cathedral was completed in 1924,  With almost 100 years of faithful service, Our Lady’s Cathedral  continues to thrive as a beautiful space for daily worship, as well as hosting most of the events of the Archdiocese.  A focus of the Archdiocesan Capital Campaign, “One Church, Many Disciples,” includes enhancements to the interior of the Cathedral. Beautiful hand-painted murals that are unique to the parish and represent various aspects of Catholic history and the faith community in Oklahoma will be installed and custom designed liturgical furnishings and light fixtures will add to the overall ambiance of the worship space. Restoration to the existing structure will preserve the Cathedral for another 100 years of faithful service.  The murals are being painted in Brooklyn, New York and renovations will begin in May of 2019.
